An Integrative Approach

I draw from several therapeutic approaches and tailor treatment to each person's needs, goals, and pace. My work is primarily informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), mindfulness, and somatic approaches, while also incorporating elements of cognitive behavioral and narrative therapy when helpful.

IFS-Informed Therapy

IFS helps us become curious about the different parts of ourselves that show up in different situations. Rather than viewing these parts as problems to get rid of, we can begin to understand what they are trying to protect, where they came from, and what they may need. This work can create more compassion toward yourself and greater freedom to respond differently.

Emotional Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT)

EFIT helps us slow down and connect with the emotions underneath the surface. Together, we explore patterns in how you respond to yourself and others, identify the deeper needs beneath those patterns, and develop a greater capacity to experience and express vulnerable emotion

Mindfulness & Somatic Awareness

I incorporate mindfulness and awareness of the body to help you slow down, notice what is happening in the present moment, and develop a deeper connection with your internal experience. This can be especially helpful when emotions feel overwhelming or difficult to identify.
